Goblin Valley

Last week was Greg's spring break and we desperately needed something fun to do. We have been so busy with school and work and winter was just way to long. We needed a day out in the sun. Luckily for us the week of spring break was the warmest it had been in a very long time. We packed up one morning and headed down to Goblin Valley for the day. I have lived in Utah my whole life and had never been!! I have wanted to, just never got around to it. I was just a little excited to get down there. Get ready for picture overload!

Self timer FAIL!

Now we got it. The rock looked like a couch.

Greg on a very large saddle.

Forcing Penny to eat and drink some water.

I found a geode! I was so excited. I used to collect rocks when I was little and loved geodes. I was so happy to find both sides of it.

Another water break. She hated taking breaks, she just wanted to explore.

We had to life Penny up this part, it was a little high. She surprised us all day at how well she could climb up rocks, this was a little to steep for my comfort.

Is this place not amazing?!

Finally eating on her own.

Penny jumping across the gap. Seriously, she really did amaze us all day! She is so daring and athletic. She just loved it down there.

I may have smacked her head on the rock trying to get her in this picture. Poor pup.

Family photo time!! I'm not sure what is going on with Penny's face, but after 10 pictures this was the best one.

If you have never been to Goblin Valley I highly recommend going! It is pretty close and such a fun day activity.

We had so much fun and loved spending time with just us. I have a whole list of more activities for this summer, we will see how well I do at blogging with them. And yes, Penny is like a child to us. I am not ashamed.

We are still alive!!!

I know you all must be so worried about us, but let me assure you that we are doing great!! Things have been so busy and blogging is really not at the top of my list.  Now that things are starting to settle down I am really going to try to update this just a little bit more often.

 Our recent family picture!

I finally finished school and couldn't be more excited!! I worked my butt off and was so ready to be done, and that day finally came. I finished school back in April and quickly got a job at a wonderful salon a few weeks later. I currently am working at Suggestions Salon in Orem. I am loving it there and loving my decision with going to hair school. I stay busy doing hair, pedicures, waxing, makeup application and eyelash extensions! I am just having a blast at work.

Business cards! I'm legit!

Greg is still in school and doing amazing! I'm so proud of how hard he has been working and the time and effort he puts in. He is just about to finish his summer semester and then on to fall it is. Poor kid does not get much of a break, but he usually lives up that time! Like this year we will be spending that one week in Powell!!! I'm just a little excited for that.

Studying hard on a Friday night.

As for Penny, she is doing great! She really is like a child to us, which is why she gets her own paragraph. She is almost a year old! She will no longer be my puppy. She is very well trained and so much fun to have in our little family. She is also somewhat of a midget. She is tiny!! We measured her the other day and she is 4 inches shorter then the average lab. I love how small she is and that she will still cuddle with us! I really hope that when we have kids I love them half as much as I love this dog. We call her Princess Penny because she runs our house. Yes, we are those kind of people

Taking up the whole couch! Yes she is long, but I promise she is a midget!

Greg and I just got released from our calling in the YSA 248th ward. How sad it was to get released but how exciting it is to open the next chapter of our lives. We have also been busy enjoying the summer and spending time with our families. How lucky we are to have them so close and to be able to see them so often. We have a couple trips planned for the end of summer with both of our families and we can't wait!! I have also been busy with fun craft projects for my house. They are slowly coming together and pictures will come!

End table project!! The second one is getting finished right now.

I'm an AUNT....again.

Amy had her baby boys!!! Mason and Jax were born on December 22nd and are healthy little boys! Mason was 4lbs 1oz and Jax was 4lbs 7oz. For being so early and being such a high risk pregnancy these guys are doing so amazing. They amaze everyone everyday. They are in the NICU until they gain enough weight and develop all the functions they need to come home. Since they are in the NICU I can't see them until they come home, so I get to live off pictures from my sister.

Are they not the cutest litte guys?! I love them already and I have not even seen them! Amy said that they always find each other. They just have to be next to each other.  I can't wait for them to come home so I can hold them. They are going to be so much fun to have in the family and their cousins are just going to love them!! We are so blessed to have them with us. If you want to know what a miracle these babies really are check out my sisters blog.

Congrats Amy and Jace!! I know you two will be amazing parents!
